5 Star

Any casino we rate with 5 stars must have a rock solid reputation with online punters. To qualify they must accept a variety of deposit options but more importantly process withdrawals quickly and efficiently. They must also provide fair games across the board and prove this with regular industry testing. Obviously a full license from a trusted source is also required.

4.5 Star

Any casino which is given a 4.5 star as opposed to a 5 is still a very good choice and you can consider then well thought among the online casino community. Usually there is only one or two small points holding back their rating which, most commonly slower withdrawal times than we’d like to see or a lack of value for new and existing players.

4 Star

All our 4 star rated casino sites are still safe and fair places to play but often they’ve missed out on a better rating because of a slight lack in game selection or poor mobile offering. You can still consider these sites as worth joining, especially if the bonus looks tasty, but you might not quite receive the same level of game selection or customer support as those rated higher.

3.5 Star

If a casino is listed as 3.5 stars then you can’t expect them to live up to the level of customer service, game selection and banking options as sites rated higher. Usually a casino will find itself in this category if it’s found lacking in multiple places, especially long term and short term value on offer for players.

3 Star

A casino which we rate with 3 stars can still be considered a safe and fair place to play but that’s about it. There’s little on offer for players in terms of promotions, or we just don’t rate what is available, wagering requirements are too high, game selection isn’t wide enough for our liking and unless you have a specific reason to join we’d recommend you look at some of the other options.

Anything Below…

You’ll notice we don’t review any casino sites which rate less than 3 stars. Why? Well quite frankly it’s because we just don’t want to give them any exposure. If an online casino is not listed with 3 stars or above then we don’t consider it a safe and fair place to play. Quite simply you should be hands down avoiding it.

Think we’ve made a mistake? If you think we’ve made a mistake with any of our review ratings or we’ve not reviewed a casino which you think should make the list then please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Just use the form at the bottom of this page and let us know what you’re thinking.

How To Identify A Safe & Secure Casino?

Safe & Fair CasinosIt’s all well and good us sitting here and telling you that certain online casinos are safe and others carry an element of risk BUT how on earth did we come to these conclusions?

Well… there are a few different ways you can identify how legitimate any casino site is or isn’t.

  • Check their license – does the casino site have a licensing logo presented on their website? If they are serving a UK market they must have a UK Gambling Commission logo or they are breaking the law. If you’re outside then check what license they have, they are not all created equal.
  • Are they responsible? – you can always get a good feel for an online casino by working out if they responsible and willing to identify and help problem gamblers. Check their website to see if they have a GambeAware logo, or any other similar organisation, and if you find one you can at least identify the site feels responsibility towards their players.
  • What’s their position on player disputes? – regardless of the casino in question and their reputation there’s always going to be player disputes at some time or another. Check all casinos you play to join to see if they display the IBAS logo, or similar, so that you know player disputes are handled by an external verifier.
  • Do their games get tested? – any casino worth it’s salt has their games tested and verified by an external source. Look for an eCogra, TST, iTech Labs, Gaming Associates, NMi, BMM Testlads or SQS logo on the casinos website to make sure their games are fair.

If you can find a match for all the above criteria then it’s a good indicator that you’re gambling in a safe and fair environment.
